Russet Picture (2)

Thursday 10th December, 7.30pm @ The Russet, Hackney Downs Studios, 17 Amhurst Terrace, London E8 2BT

Populace’s annual event is back.

After a brilliant night last year, we are thrilled to be back at The Russet. As the festive season will be in full swing, this year we’ve got a select line-up of acts to keep you on feet and the party going.

Performances start at 8pm with a dj and dancing throughout. From tranarchist pop outfits to political punk, x-rated poetry and creep folk – we celebrate 2015 with everything queer, counter-culture and camp.

This ain’t no scratch night.

Line Up:

Beach Violence – Populace’s resident Creep Folk extravaganzana from the hearts and harps of Jessica Barker-Wren and Pablo Navarro MacLochlainn

Laura Ashley – normcore tranarchist pop outift, synth vocals and dresses brought to you by John Fitzpatrick and Archie Sinclair

Lotte Rice – a woman dreams of Nina Simone trapped in daily routine, Lotte’s surreal performance piece, “Exactly Like You”

Sh!t S!ck –  a female-led underground punk band newly formed to combat the Tory government’s policies of inequality and injustice

Danielle Meehan –  drag artist and comedian brings us some x-rated poetry to stimulate your nether regions

Jo Griffin & Lola Stephenson – comedy from hit duo as they mistakenly find themselves being life models and corporate consultants

Edalia – genderqueer cabaret from the Transogenous Songstress

Sue Gives a Fuck’s Berlinspiel – a potted lipsync history of hyper inflation and hyper-sexuality from Sept to Dec 1923 – performed by Chris Nelson

And tunes throughout from DJ Georgia Duncan

Tickets £5 on the door
